In my initial post I mentioned book reviews. Well I’m finally going to get around to this, but they are going to be a little different from the norm. No longwinded dissection of a book, no elaborate scoring system, just a paragraph or two saying why I liked the book and a link to Amazon so you can buy a copy if you like. Short, simple and to the point.

I may post them to Goodreads as well, I’m just not sure yet.

So as part of the plan to get healthy, lose weight and fight the Type 2 diabetes I've been diagnosed with, I've been told, in no uncertain terms, to cut out coffee and all other such beverages.

Well, following a weekend of binge drinking at a roleplaying convention, I've been cold turkey since Monday morning. And slight headaches aside, I seem to be coping relatively okay. Only time will tell if I can keep it up though.

If anyone reading this know of a good 4e character worksheet, something that helps to work all the bonuses and stuff, could they please point me to it.

I don't need character sheet, I have a nice one of those, I just need something to make recalculating everything on leveling up that little bit easier.

TIA.

So I decided to bite the bullet and completely wipe my recently acquired Advent 4211 ultra portable and install Mac OS X 10.5 on it.

Thanks to a very handy guide at http://www.modaco.com/content/asus-eee-pc-http-www-eeeasy-com/270099/pauls-complete-guide-to-installing-osx-leopard-on-your-msi-wind-advent-4211/ I was able to complete the task in very quick time.

Here's the About This Mac dialog:

I'm now just waiting on some extra memory and a replacement, compatible, wireless card and she will be good to go.

Woot!

Well, my wordpress install broke one time too many (hackers and outdated templates), so I'm back using LJ.

As soon as I can find an LJ client for the iPhone that doesn't require me to jailbreak my phone, updates might occur a little more regularly.

Until then, have fun everyone :)

I’ve decided to close my World of Warcraft account after a little under two and a half years of play. Even having added the Burning Crusade expansion at the beginning of the year, I just no longer find it enjoyable and have for the last couple of months been paying for what is nothing more than a bloated chat client.

Sure, I will miss a few of the friends I’ve made whilst playing, but there are other ways to stay in touch. Hopefully I’ll have a little more free time to dedicate to doing my podcast, as well as maybe some face to face roleplaying.

It was an experience I’m glad I took part in, but now it’s time to move on.
